Whitney Love, LMT

My name is Whitney Love and I am a licensed massage therapist (LMT). I am born and raised in Lexington and have been around sports my entire life. I studied exercise science at Oklahoma State University, where I also was a member of the OSU cheerleading team all throughout college. I am a four time collegiate national champion with Oklahoma state as well as four time world champion with US national cheerleading team.

I have a passion for helping my clients improve their health and wellbeing, and absolutely love doing everything I can to alleviate any pain/tension that lives within the body. I specialize in a more orthopedic approach with deep tissue, stretching, and cupping. All services are available for all of those individuals seeking pain relief and a better understanding of how their bodies work.

Yoga with Thelma

I started my Yoga journey in 2006. There was a free class offered at the local library on Saturday mornings. I attended a few classes and I was instantly enthralled. The next few years of my journey was finding yoga VHS tapes from thrift stores and doing them in my home.
Fast forward do 2015. I had a regular practice on my own, with an occasional public class here and there. I always knew I had a passion for this type of movement. I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certificate in December of 2016 at The Om Place in Winchester, Kentucky.
I firmly believe Yoga is not only a physical practice, but perhaps more importantly,  a mental and spiritual practice. In my opinion, you don't have to have fancy clothes or equipment to practice Yoga. It's a Yoga practice, not a Yoga perfect.
I will always advocate for mindfulness and listening to your own body. I believe we are all made differently and have different opinions on what a Yoga class should be. I try to offer as many modifications as I can so that anyone who shows up to a class can benefit from it.
